Mission-critical questions from the founders who've signed up this quarter — answered in plain language so you can decide whether Squad fits before the demo.

What is a Squad, exactly?

A Squad is a small team of autonomous AI agents that run on a topic you care about — competitor moves, market signals, content drafts, growth experiments, ops tasks. Each agent acts on its own: it reads sources, decides what matters, drafts the output, and signs off — without a human in the loop.

Squad ships four agents out of the box: Research, Content, Growth, and Ops. You can compose the full team (Team and Squad tiers) or run a single agent (Solo). Every briefing, draft, and outreach message ends with the agent's sign-off so you can see who did what.

How does the trial work?

The trial is 14 days, free, no card charged until day 15. You pick a tier (Solo, Team, or Squad), enter your card at signup so we can pre-verify it, and the agents start running that day.

During the trial you get the full feature set of the tier you picked — no watered-down "trial mode." Day 15 the first invoice lands via Stripe. Cancel anytime from the pause/cancel link inside any briefing email; if you cancel before day 15 the card is never charged.

What does each agent actually do?

Research Agent — tracks a list of competitors on a topic you set. Every week it runs a real cycle (Hacker News, X / Twitter, primary sources, founder blogs) and ships a formatted briefing with five bullets, a deep-dive link, and a "what to do this week" recommendation. Sources and points are cited.

Content Agent — drafts one long-form post and two short-form derivatives per week, tuned to the same topic. Each draft passes through a self-critique step and ships with a sign-off explaining why it chose the angle it chose.

Growth Agent — runs cold outbound sequences against your target list. Drafts, follow-ups, and a weekly pipeline digest. Auto-throttles on bounce and unsubscribe.

Ops Agent — heartbeat pings every five minutes with last-run, last-error, and queue depth. The dashboard reads live status, not polled staleness — so you can watch the team thinking.

What does it cost after the trial?

After 14 days it rolls into the tier you picked. Pricing is flat monthly, no annual lock-in:

- Solo — $49 / month. One agent, one topic, up to 5 tracked competitors. Most solo founders. - Team — $149 / month. All four agents on a shared topic, daily Research briefings, weekly Content drafts, shared inbox digest, up to 5 seats. Marketing and sales teams. - Squad — $499 / month. Full team + custom agent types, per-team brief templates, outreach pipeline, unlimited tracked competitors and seats, priority support.

Your card is charged on day 15. Cancel from any briefing email — pause for a week, resume when ready, or cancel for good. Refunds within 7 days of every charge, no questions asked.

Do I need Discord or a chat tool?

No. Every agent ships its output through email and a shareable dashboard URL. You don't need Discord, Slack, Notion, or any other side-channel to use Squad.

If you already use Slack or Discord, the Content and Ops agents can post a formatted digest to a webhook — but that's optional. Most teams just read the Monday 9am UTC briefing in their inbox and act from there.

How is the "no human approval" piece handled?

Squad agents are on-by-default, but every output carries a sign-off line: which agent ran the cycle, what sources it used, what it decided to draft, and a one-click pause if you want it to stop. There's no approval gate — and no approval gate is the point.

If you want approval gates, the Tier 1 workflow in the Team plan surfaces drafts to a shared inbox before they're sent. The default behavior — and the behavior we recommend for the first 30 days — is fully autonomous with sign-off transparency.

What does the weekly briefing look like?

Every Monday at 9am UTC, the Research Agent delivers a briefing to your inbox formatted like this: a one-line topic headline, three trend bullets, a deep-dive link with source attribution, and a "what to do this week" recommendation. The whole briefing is under 90 seconds to read.

You can pause for a week, change topic, or unsubscribe at the bottom of any email. The first Monday after signup is yours for free, so you can see it in your inbox before deciding whether to keep going. A live sample is up at /briefing and you can run the same agent on any topic at /examples.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Every briefing email has a one-click pause link that flips the agent off for a week. From your dashboard you can pause for a month, swap topics, or cancel entirely. There's no annual contract and no exit interview.

If you cancel inside the 14-day trial, your card is never charged. After the trial, you can cancel from any briefing email — refunds for any charge within the last 7 days land back to the same card automatically.

How do you store and handle my data?

Stored: signup email, topic selection, billing email and Stripe customer ID, briefing-history log (per email), pause/resume events. That's it.

Not stored: competitor URLs you paste are stored; the briefings we send you are stored so you can re-read old ones; we don't store any third-party passwords, OAuth tokens, or content drafts outside the briefing-history log. The Content Agent's drafts are kept for 30 days then deleted unless you explicitly archive them.

Compliance: Stripe handles PCI, so we never see your card number. Database backups run on Render-managed Postgres (Neon) and are encrypted at rest. You can request a full export or deletion of your data at support — we ship it within 7 days.

Can I export everything?

Yes. From the dashboard there's a download full export button that returns a JSON archive of: every briefing you've received, every pause/resume event, your topic and competitor list, and your billing history. It's yours to keep.

For team accounts the export includes every seat's activity, but only for the seats you administer.

Is there a refund window?

Yes — 7 days from any charge, no questions asked. If a billing cycle lands and you haven't used the product, just reply to the receipt email and the full amount lands back on the same card within 3-5 business days.

Outside the 7-day window we prorate unused days if you cancel mid-cycle, but the trial itself is the cleanest way to evaluate Squad without risk.

How do I get help if something breaks?

Every briefing has a "something wrong?" link at the bottom that opens a support thread with the agent's run log attached. For anything billing-related, reply to the Stripe receipt email — it routes to the team.

The Ops Agent pings the team at the same time it pings you, so if your briefing is late the team knows before you tell them.
